Building Community and Connection: This whole day training is designed for staff as an introduction to the principles and processes of Restorative practices (RP) and RP creates, promotes and enhances positive culture. Participants will also receive training on the facilitation of various circle types. This training can also be adapted for hybrid or asynchronous completion. ( For up to 30 staff) 

Community Building/Team Building: This whole day gathering is designed for groups to engage in activities that support participants in working toward a shared goal and learn more about each other. Participants will participate in interactive activities that foster a group atmosphere and a sense of belonging. Participants will receive a one pager to take home to plan and execute community building activities.

Restorative Responses: This whole day training is designed to help staff to approach disciplinary  practices more restoratively and effectively. Participants will learn ways to reduce conflict, maintain relationships and repair harm when it occurs. Staff should have completed an Building community and connection training ( For up to 30 staff)

School Year Implementation:  Best Southwest Restorative Practices provides toolkits and coaching to plan, execute, and monitor the success of implementing the principles and processes of restorative practices. The consultant will meet with leadership staff  to support the continuing implementation and interweaving of with other initiatives. 

Junior Restorative Practices Academy :The Junior Restorative Practices Academy is a training program that uses principles and processes of restorative practices as a framework to foster social and emotional learning, as well as leadership skills. Staff participants will receive training to support middle and high school students in the facilitation of  community building activities and restorative processes to resolve low level conflicts. The consultant will continue to meet with staff leaders to support the implementation and facilitation of the Junior Restorative Practices Academy.( For up to 30 staff & students)

Playing with a purpose  This 90 min training is designed for staff or families to understand how to engage students in social emotional learning and the principles and processes of restorative practices. Participants will be able to plan and practice the use of everyday games to foster coping skills, self-discovery, self esteem, communication skills, anger management and teamwork. Participants will also learn how to use a circle format to discuss therapeutic topics. Staff participants will receive a copy of the Therapy Games book by Alanna Jones as well as a game to use in their classroom. Families will receive a game to take home along with a guidebook to continue the fun.( For up to 20 staff or families)

Restorative Practices in the Content area- Participants will be introduced to Teaching and Learning in Circles as designed by Carolyn Boyes-Watson and Kay Pranis. The course begins with an overview of the circle format and the process of being a circle keeper. Next, participants will learn about the components of the TEA template for creating circles. As a culminating activity, participants will complete the TEA template for two academic circles they plan to implement in their classrooms. Staff should have completed an Building community and connection training ( For up to 30 staff or families)
