Welcome to my urban farm! I’m Valerie Hoffman, a dedicated urban farmer and a proud single mother deeply connected to the heritage of Native American agriculture. As a descendant of Wichita tribal farmers, I honor their legacy by nurturing the earth and sharing its bounty with my community.
Becoming a mother to my youngest child at 39 transformed my perspective on health. After experiencing preeclampsia, high blood pressure, and doctors saying it's probably due to age. I sought natural remedies to reclaim my vitality. In addition to nutrient-rich foods like omega-3 fatty acids from flaxseeds and walnuts, I incorporated coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinol) into my routine, which significantly contributed to lowering my blood pressure back to normal and helped to restore my hair.
Herbal teas and remedies have also played a
fundamental role in my wellness journey.
Now, I’m energized and inspired by the potential of nature. This passion and participation in the Go farm program has helped to fuel the creation of Longevity Garden, where I cultivate nutrient-dense plants that promote health and longevity, sharing knowledge and resources with my community along the way.
Thank you for visiting my urban farm! Together, let’s inspire each other towards a healthier, more sustainable lifestyle.
Valerie's great grandma was a Wichita farmer.
