The learning platform for day school e-learning changes from time to time. Check with your guidance counsellor to see if this is right for you.
Day School e-learning counts as a day course, meaning you can have two courses and one online, and NOT be a part-time student.
You can work on the course at any time, but you are expected to meet deadlines. Students are encouraged to work on the e-learning course during their spare for 75 minutes a day in order to be able to meet their academic responsibilities.
Sign up for Day School e-learning by making an appointment with your guidance counsellor on Teach Assist.
There are two types of night school and each semester may or may not offer each type. Please speak to your guidance counsellor if you have any questions.
REMOTE night school is synchronous, where you will attend class online with the teacher.
ONLINE night school is asynchronous. Although teachers have office hours, the teacher is not expected to be online with you. Deadlines for evaluations must be met.
Please Note: Course offerings are not guaranteed as they are subject to sufficient enrolment and teacher availability.
Registration is through myPathwayPlanner (myBlueprint). Log in and then click on "Continuing Education" in the left menu. You must have all necessary prerequisites, in order to enroll.
You must inform your guidance counsellor that you have signed up for night school e-learning so that they can approve your course request. If you do not inform your guidance counsellor, you will be removed from the course and any fees you paid will not be refunded.
Students register through myPathwayPlanner (myBlueprint). Login and click on the "Continuing Education" tab on the left-hand side. Please reference this Tip Sheet for further assistance.
Please Note: Registration typically begins at the end of April. Course offerings are not guaranteed as they are subject to sufficient enrolment, classroom and teacher availability.
Attendance is MANDATORY; no exceptions are made to adjust a summative or exam for vacation purposes. If a student is absent more than two times, they will likely be removed from the course.
Summer school is intensive. Be prepared.
Summer school courses are meant to provide only ONE MONTH of foundation. If you are not strong in a subject, you may benefit more in the long run by having the course in day school. Speak to your guidance counsellor for individual advice.
Credit Recovery is only available to students who have been approved. If you are not certain of your approval status, please speak with your guidance counsellor.
Civics/Careers is located in the "Reinforcement" section. Be sure to choose both civics and careers in alternating sessions.
Graduating students with plans to move on to college or university in the fall, should consult with their institution to see if they accept summer school courses after June. Some will, but others will not.
You must have any prerequisites for the course you wish to enroll in.

The requirements listed above for in-person summer school also apply to e-learning summer school.
Summer e-learning courses expect students to spend as many hours on their course per day as they would if the course were held in-person. This amounts to approximately 7 hours a day. Summer e-learning is just as intensive as regular summer school, and can pose additional challenges. Please keep this in mind when making your decision. It is not realistic to assume you will be able to travel for a vacation and simultaneously successfully complete a course.
Registration typically opens at the end of April.
