Coledale Public School is proud to announce the participation of our grade 6 to 8 students in the impactful Shadows of Racism project, in collaboration with ALPHA educators. This initiative focuses on equity education, community knowledge, and centring student voices. Through workshops exploring history, identity, and representation, our students have created stunning artworks that reflect their deep engagement with the topic. Through the project, "A Seat at the Table," students interviewed a voice unheard and brought forth to the table through this wonderful exhibition.
We invite you to view these beautiful creations and read the accompanying art statements, which showcase the students' perspectives and commitment to fostering a more inclusive and empathetic community. This project not only highlights their artistic talents but also their dedication to addressing and understanding the beauty of diversity in our society.
Students' artwork are categorized by their class. The list of contributors can be found below (in alphabetical order by first name).
