A great website with videos explaining a variety of subjects as well as quizzes to test understanding. For mathematics, content is organised by the American HS curriculum so hunting down of specific topics is necessary. Videos explain the steps for solving a problem is a slow and careful manner. Useful for learning new information. Quizzes are useful for strengthening fundamental skills (such as algebraic factorization). However, they are often not of sufficient depth to develop higher level problem-solving skills which demands more flexible application of mathematical techniques.

A good website which focuses specifically on GCSE courses. Content is broken down into small chunks of information. Key facts and details written in concise, simple language with clear supplementary diagrams. Useful site for revision. Content is not comprehensive for IGCSE. Should not be used as a cited source.

A decent site for automating the formatting citations in APA and MLA. It covers a wide range of sources, including journal articles, websites, books, etc. The built in search engine may be able to find some of the information for you but it is important to verify its accuracy and fill in the remaining fields. There may be some stylistic problems with the final citation, which should be checked against a reliable citation guide such as from Purdue OWL. The advertisements that frequently pop up are a severe annoyance though.

Many of you probably use Wikipedia, but the Foundation's other websites are extremely useful for research, especially the pages (e.g. Wikisource) that contain primary sources (e.g. historical documents) and media material (photographs) which are useful for research. They also do not come with the errors that may be in Wikipedia articles. Cite with discretion.

A great website for research which the school provides full access. Articles give excellent overview on a range of topics. Britannica is widely regarded as a reputable source and is generally a good starting point for research. It also has a fairly large range of photographs, diagrams, and full texts of important primary sources which could be used when credited in essays. Could be used as a cited source.

Desmos Graphing Calculator
An excellent online graphing calculator which is much more intuitive to use than Ti-nspire. Algebraic, trigonometric, logarithmic/exponential, calculus-related functions are available. Fitting lines of best fit to statistical data is also available, though saving the graph as an image is unwieldy (Excel and Google Sheets is better when images are necessary)

A good online graphing calculator and geometrical construction app. Offers a wider range of options, such as geometry diagrams, which Desmos lacks, but is more laggy and less intuitive to use than Desmos. Like Desmos, you can animate your diagrams and graphs.

Excellent site for refreshing, consolidating, and exploring drama as live theatre. Login using the UWCSEA account. Offers hundreds of productions of notable American and European drama. Very useful learning source as well as revision material for English literature (A Doll's House, Macbeth, anyone?) as well as Drama.
