KEEP UP TO DATE WITH SSEP
Robotics Hackathon 2022
Stamford American International School and UWCSEA East have arranged a couple of friendly robotics hackathon sessions. On Saturday the 17th of September, we held the first event. Students from both Primary and Middle School attended the competition and fun was had by all.
The challenge was to design and build a robot using Lego Spike, EV3 or NXT that could haul 5 balls across a distance and land in a scored area in 60 seconds. The students only had 3 hours to design, build and test the robot, they had no idea what the challenge would even be before the event started. All students did exceptionally well and fun was had for everyone. We would like to thank Stamford American International School for hosting the event, and we are very excited to say that it will be our turn on the 12th of November @ UWCSEA East campus.
The timings for these events are 0900 - 1230 and signs up will start soon, so make sure you're ready!
See our photos below for a better sense of how the students progressed on the day.
Here’s a brief overview of the event.
