Did you know that you can utilise any of the 23 Parameters available to build more complex reward functions?
The UWCSEA East and Dover DeepRacer League is now underway.
In teams of 4, you will need to use the link to create your DeepRacer, train it on the circuits and fight your way to the top of the league tables. The top 10 DeepRacing Teams will be invited to the Grand Final where they will be given the opportunity to upload their code to a physical version of their virtual DeepRacer. The physical DeepRacers will then compete on one of the same circuits as originally practised on, it is because of this you should train your DeepRacers to not just be the fastest on one circuit but the fastest on all circuits.
You don't want your DeepRacer to have just learnt how to follow the track, you want your DeepRacer to have learnt how to drive!
The Grand Final winners will receive prizes, respect and cheers as they mark the end of the very first UWCSEA DeepRacer competition.
The DeepRacer you create for this race will be cloned to a physical version and raced on the same track in Feb at the Ideas Hub.
The top teams will be invited to participate in the Grand Finale.
The official UWCSEA DeepRacer League will kick off on November 1st 00:00 with 2 tracks to help you train your DeepRacer, until this time, we have opened a "Strictly for fun Go-Kart" track to help you train yourselves and your teams.
Once you click the button below <GET RACING> you will be invited to set up a Student Account. You should then make your way to the Profile menu (top right) and edit the following:
Change your racer name:
You must change your Racer name to highlight the team you're in. The correct format is shown to the left.
Change school enrollment:
Select 'Other' and then type:
UWCSEA East or Dover, depending on which campus you are located.
Change your name:
For security purposes we will tally the names with our school data, it's therefore important that you enter this information correctly so as to make sure you and your team isn't removed from the competition.

AWS will provide each signed up participant with 10 hours of free machine learning time per month. You will use this time to get your DeepRacer on the track and allow it to learn. As a team of 4, you will have a collective time of 40 hours, but only your code can be transferred and not the DeepRacer itself. You will need to manage your time carefully and work together, this way you'll reduce the wasted time spent reteaching something already learnt.

Details:
A hands-on experience in Reinforcement Learning through an inter-college DeepRacer League.
Timeline:
Each student will be allocated 10 hours of free DeepRacer training each month, as a team of 4 this gives your DeepRacer 40 hours of track time per month.
The UWCSEA DeepRacer League will start on November 1st 00:00, as the time goes on, more tracks will open up. The Grand Finals will take place in early 2023.
