Socially Sustainable Entrepreneurship Program - Student Organising Committee
About the Program:
The Socially Sustainable Entrepreneurship Program provides students with an opportunity to create and launch their own social/sustainable businesses. This program is heavily student-led, with organising committees on both the East and Dover campuses responsible for its successful implementation.
We are recruiting passionate and organised students for the following roles:**
**Please note that SSEP student leaders will not be able to participate as contestants
Program Coordinators (East filled - 2 per campus):
Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire program on their respective campus.
Coordinate all logistics, including scheduling, room reservations, and communication.
Serve as the main point of contact for student participants and mentors.
Liaise with faculty advisors and parent volunteers.
Manage the program timeline and ensure deadlines are met.
Organise and lead committee meetings.
Reminding student teams of deadlines and schedule changes.
Skills Required:
Excellent organisation and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Marketing and Communications Officers (East 1, 1 for Dover):
Responsibilities:
Promote the program to students on their campus.
Create promotional materials (posters, social media posts, etc.).
Distribute promotional materials
Manage program communications, including email updates and announcements.
Document program activities through photos and videos.
Maintain a program website or online platform (if applicable).
Skills Required:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Tight scheduling skills.
Absolute knowledge in accurate and effective GCal use.
Experience with social media and/or marketing.
Creativity and design skills (basic).
Ability to capture events through photography/videography.
Mentor Liaison(s) (East filled):
Responsibilities:
Communicate with parents and alumni mentors.
Coordinate mentor assignments to student teams.
Facilitate communication between mentors and teams.
Gather feedback from mentors on the program.
Skills Required:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build relationships with adults and students.
Strong organisational skills.
General Requirements for All Roles:
Commitment to the program's goals and values.
Availability to attend organising committee meetings and program events.
Enthusiasm and a proactive approach.
Must be a high school student (Current Grades 8- 10) at either East or Dover campus.
Workshop and Event Coordinators (2 for East, 1 for Dover):
Responsibilities:
Coordinate workshop logistics, including speaker arrangements and materials preparation.
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications Officers to elevate the Capstone Event.
Assist in organising the Launch Event and Capstone Event ("Shark Tank").
Manage event setup and breakdown.
Collect feedback from participants on workshops and events.
Skills Required:
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage event logistics.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
How to Apply:
Interested students should submit a brief application with a direct reference to the job role they wish to apply for. Students can apply for multiple positions but must craft the applications for the individual roles. (Therefore a student applying for 2 roles would need to submit 2 applications and would only be awarded 1 role if successful, the choice of which will be of the selection committee)
