PARENTS FOR SSEP
Hackathon
Over the past years we have organised several Interschool Robotics Competitions for Primary and Middle School students. We thank everyone who participated in our hackathon and we truly appreciate your enthusiasm and commitment.
Please keep in mind that the Innovation@EAST programme and the InnovationHub@EAST will always be accessible to all students. If you're keen to organise a similar event during the week, feel free to reach out!
We welcome your ideas and contributions!
Highlights from 2nd Hackathon:
The second hackathon took place on 12th October 2024, graciously hosted by IFS. The challenge was for teams to design, code and build LEGO robots that could knock down skittles with a squash ball, stimulating a bowling game. It was no easy feat, but all the teams were impressive. Congratulations to the winning team!
We hope to see more students interested in joining us for future hackathons, allowing us to organize this exciting event again soon. Thank you to all parents who came to show their support!
Highlights from 1st Hackathon:
On September 14th, we kicked off our first hackathon of the year (2024-25) at SAIS. The challenge for the students was to design, code, and build LEGO sumobots to compete in a head-to-head matches, much like traditional sumo wrestling. The goal was simple: push the opposing robot out of the arena.
Congratulations to the winners, and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next event!
