Upcoming workshop
Tencent will be running a workshop on the "Weixin Mini Program Global Innovation Challenge" which will introduce interested parties to the Weixin Ecosystems and explain how students can get started on their coding projects.
【Agenda】
14:00-14:20: Introduction to Weixin ecosystem and Weixin in Singapore.
14:20-14:40: Introduction to Weixin Mini Program Global Innovation Challenge.
14:40-17:00: Demonstration of Mini Program education platform and development tools, followed by practice and Q&A.
【Reminders】
1、Students will need to have the WeChat app installed on their phones to scan the QR code and log in to the Mini Program developer tool.

Embark on a thrilling journey of innovation and creativity with the Youth AI and Future Media Global Innovation Challenge! Calling upon visionary teams nationwide, this competition offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of technology and education. Open to students from grades 1-12, technical secondary schools, and vocational high schools, this challenge unfolds in two key stages – the preliminary round and the finals.

Tencent Weixin is offering an online series of training sessions for UWC Students. During this time, they will also be connecting the attending students to renowned merchants based in Singapore. This is an opportunity not to be missed.
Eligibility:
Students in grades 1-12
School Groups:
Qianlong Group: Grades 1-7
Feilong Group: Grades 8-12
Team Competition:
Teams of 1-3 participants.

1 person (bonus 20,000 yuan)

Work Plan Submission:
Develop a work plan based on the WeChat applet. There are no restrictions on programming tools.
Preliminary Submission:
In the preliminary stage, follow the submission prompts on the official website.
Submit a short video (less than 3 minutes) showcasing practical operations, along with a project description and related pictures illustrating the creativity, ideas, and the creative practice process.
Choose a Proposition:
Choose one of the four propositions for the mini-program prototype design:
Campus Life:
Showcase real and interesting campus life or design a practical small program for teachers and students to solve daily problems. Create a unique product name.
The Place Under My Feet:
Introduce special foods, scenery, and regional skills of your hometown. Design a practical small program with a self-selected product name.
Little Life Masters:
Observe overlooked problems in daily life or address a societal need. Design a practical small program with your product name.
Unlocking the Future:
Imagine how technology, including AR and AI, can change learning and life. Design a practical small program with a self-made product name.
Final Submission Deadline:
Ensure your final work plans are submitted before the deadline of 23:59 on January 31, 2024. Teams uploading works before December 31, 2023, get the opportunity to participate in a face-to-face Q&A meeting in January 2024.
Assessment Rubrics for Participants
Integrity
Meet the requirements for entries, including the integrity of the carrier and functional experience. Submit materials are complete, including background description, product introduction, etc.

Innovativeness
It must be highly innovative, but also requires originality, and must not be suspected of plagiarism or infringement. It is required to maintain the uniqueness of the copyright of the work.

Feasibility
Close to actual social life applications, or imagining future life scenarios, the project concept will help promote a better future for human society.

Competition works can reflect technological advancement, such as the application of advanced artificial intelligence technology.
