This fantastic competition takes place from November 6th and has its grand finale on December 6th. This challenge promises to be the most exciting yet. Build a robot, code it to complete an array of tasks and then bring your creation to the IDEAS Hub at UWCSEA Dover to present what you and your team have come up with.

Event Details
FINAL Competition: December 6th, 3PM -6PM (see below for more details)

Food will be supplied free of charge.

Transportation Details
To ensure our students can fully participate in this challenge, a dedicated bus will be available to collect students from the East campus at 2:15PM on the 6th of December. The bus will take them to the UWCSEA Dover Campus for a 3pm start.

The event will conclude at 6PM, at which point the bus will collect the students from the Dover Campus and return them to\ the East campus for 6:45PM.

What to Expect

During this event, participants will need to visit the Innovation Space in the HS library, Collect their team's Robot Kit and build the robot.

Each robot will need to be coded to achieve the following tasks:

Pick up put down
Move from A to B
Follow a line
Avoid an object (Static and Dynamic)
Sense colour
Pick up a specified coloured object and move to a specified coloured zone

Hackathon

You will be given a challenge mat two weeks before the Final Challenge date, your robot will then need to be adapted and coded to achieve the above tasks in the quickest time.

Hackathon Theme

Logistics - "Attempt to break down and sort the relevant shapes/objects into their respective crates" using mBot robotics.

We believe that real-world exposure and hands-on experiences like these are essential in shaping our students into future-ready individuals.
