The Marine Advanced Technology Education - Remote Operated Vehicle is a large-scale team project, to design and program a submergible robot capable of completing a range of tasks set via remote control.
Grade Eligibility: G9-12
Designing and constructing a robot using industrial materials. We use CAD to design the robot and a variety of mechanised tools to build it. The robot must be programmed and built together. Anyone interested in engineering, design, electronics, leadership or coding should apply.
ALL SAUVC AND MATE ROV TEAMS MUST PROCEED WITH A TETHERED SUBMERSIBLE DEMONSTRATION PRIOR TO ENTRY

A hands-on learning experience in challenge based design and engineering.
Timeline:
Students need to commit to the entire event, this should last for 3 seasons. Overseas travel may be required for finals.
