The steps:
1. Place the shield on top of the board.
2. Attach the Buzzer to pin 8.
3. Attach the PIR sensor to pin 12.
4. Plug the arduino to your computer using the USB cable.
5. The bell should now work.
6. If you want to make it portable, you can now unplug it from the computer and attach a battery pack provided with 6 AA batteries.
