We often don’t think about how art is strongly connected with our inside world, feelings, thoughts, emotions, fears and mental state. Artists often don’t even realise that while creating an art piece they project their inside world through it. Mixed emotions, confusion about what’s happening to them often put us in a dead end. But art can help escape that crisis and rethink many things that could lead to that stage and help you understand yourself.
Many of us had those thoughts and feelings, but couldn’t really explain it. So I wanted to know how art is connected to it. The important aspect of how I chose the artists for my inspiration was the personal connection I felt with their art pieces which I think represented my thoughts and emotions I could have sometimes felt or experienced.
Each one of us feel, see, experience things differently. Mental Health/State is something that is affecting each one of us, and no one can avoid the reality our mind creates for us, sometimes without our participation. Almost all of my artworks are digital. It's not without reason. Most of my chosen artists are creating their work digitally or if they are still making some of them in real life, they are putting it to sell online as prints or switched to graphic art over time. From asking my friends, colleges and family members I received interesting feedback regarding my work. But what connected them all were themes like your mindset, the ability to cope with emotions you experience or experienced which could influence the mindset they put you in.
Some of the works were influenced by some events and experienced state of mind I had gone through. Like some of the works were influenced by events and experienced state of mind I had gone through. Like I've done with artwork “Ego Dissolution” or “Psychedelic TV”. I would say in some way yes. My artworks doesn’t seem to have similar style or colour scheme, but what can be traced is that they improved in skill throughout the time. My first work is done in black and white when others are slowly progressing to show more colour as well as detail and finding my true style. The viewer and the artwork communicate through the transfer of object language to subject language. By personalizing signs meanings incrementally, art-communication enters a sphere of more intimate importance for the viewer. Signs become a type of subjective experience for the viewer.
Also, I included one thing that can be seen in artworks that show any sort of face. Faces are never expressing any particular emotion. This means that the viewer can decide what they see in the picture, and what feelings it might give them based on the background or arrangement of some details around the face. All artworks have different yet similar message to the viewer. Some might see their own interpretation of the piece, some might see themself in it.
As you start looking at the art pieces, it will require more and more time to descry all details of different messages hidden in artworks. My intent was for anyone who looks at artworks to see themselves or part of them in the creations.
