Chris Filip is the co-founder of Game Anglia, a not-for-profit that helps grow the games industry in the East of England.
Over the years, Chris has worked as a games designer and producer, and for the past few years has been helping games companies grow by working with companies providing business support and funding for the screen industries.
He is passionate about the role that the regions outside of London can play in the growth of the UK's games industry and the impact that independent companies can make in a burgeoning ecosystem.
Matt has a BSc Computing degree specialising in Games Programming, goes to EGX every year and is primarily a console gamer, his current top 3 games being: Dishonored, Final Fantasy and Assassin's Creed.
At work, he is a developer and team lead at SimpleClick, an Ipswich-based digital agency, working on software development projects (mainly Doddle, their bespoke CMS) as well as app development using React Native.

Mathew Best is a very experienced technologist for games, with a history of technical consultancy and AI expertise.
Originally from Durban in South Africa, and now living in Ipswich in the UK, Toine Scholtz began making computer games around age 8.
Toine completed a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology at the University of Natal, Durban and went on to create audio for a number of radio and TV series and documentaries, before joining Derivco Durban as a Game Designer in 2002.
In addition to his work at Derivco, he also taught music technology at Durban's University for 8 years before relocating to Ipswich in 2018 to join Switch Studios and now leads a game design team within the studio.
When not designing games professionally, Toine produces and performs electronic music, builds synthesizers, joins game jams, and occasionally deejays.
Joe is an Experienced Artist and Animator with over 8 years experience in Games and AR. With a broad understanding of knowledge that crosses between Art to Tech-Art and synergising to Game Design. Joe is proactive in the game industry eco-sphere which he is passionate for, as well as being a people person he believes events and meet-ups are an exciting opportunity to meet brilliant individuals.
Joe is the Creative Director and Co-Fonder of Retro Drive Studio, whose most recent release Retro Drive won the Game Anglia 2022 Awards, and was runner up for the Pocket Gamer best driving game of 2021 Awards.
A musician for decades, Paul studied Music composition and technology at Uni, where he learned a lot about experimental music and sound manipulation.
After writing Music for several video games, such as BAFTA nominated 'Thomas Was Alone', 'Volume', and more recently 'Lost Words' and Rare’s remake of the cult classic 'Battletoads', this path lead him into audio design when he started working with Dlala in 2021 on Disney's 'Illusion Island'.
