Industry placements are a minimum of 315 working hours and are available to students aged 16-18 and who have passed their maths and English.

All placements must take place on non-college days.

Industry Placement - 315 hours

Local electrical company based in Ipswich are looking for someone to assist their electricians in day to day tasks; such as wiring, containment etc.

We would consider giving the right candidate an electrical apprenticeship.

Working as a Foundry Operative, making, painting and setting moulds and cores ready for casting.

Due to location in Woodbridge, must be able to travel independently.

Must be available to work two days a week on either a Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday.

Plumbing - Energie Solutions - Across East Anglia

Industry Placement - 315 hours

The right candidate will learn about:

  • Site surveys to ensure the correct system will be installed
  • The installation of air source heatpumps (ashp), cylinders, underfloor heating systems and radiators
  • How to fault find and remedy issues on ashp
  • How to fault find and remedy issues on solar thermal systems and solar pv systems
  • How to service ashp and solar thermal systems

Renewable energy is the future of this country. This is a rapidly growing industry and one to be invested in.

A clean, driving licence and access to own vehicle is required to travel to sites across Suffolk, South Norfolk, North Essex and Cambridgeshire, independently, as required.

Must have suitable footwear (workman boots) and suitable working trousers. T-shirts and jumpers will be provided.
