What: Volunteers are responsible for helping collect parking fees, advertising spots, and assisting cars parking and leaving. This fundraiser is very important to our team, please volunteer to keep supporting all the great things about Miller Swimming. click on the title or use this link to sign up.
**All swimmers that volunteer this year will receive free admission to the Olympian Swim Camp with Allison Schmitt. This is a $75 camp on September 25th. Click the link to learn more about the camp.**
Parent/Swimmer Meeting
November 9th from 5:30-6:30 at Springfield Papa's Pizza.

Swimmer To-Do List:
Order competition swimsuit (if needed) from our Team suits from our SwimOutlet Store by November 28th.
Pay $20 for your team shirt in the main office by December 2nd. Bring your receipt to coach Jordan. All swimmers are required to have a team shirt.
Recruit, Recruit, Recruit! Build the legacy of Springfield Swimming by encouraging friends and classmates to join the team.
Take care of your body by drinking water before during and after practice. Eat a healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Get lots of rest at night.
Winter Training Schedule
Training over winter break is very important to our success at the end of the season. Workouts will have a significant increase in yardage and intensity so swimmers need to be well fed (eat an hour before practice) and rested to complete the demands of each workout.
Practice TImes:
December 18-21, 26-28, and January 2
3:30-3:45 : Dynamic Stretching
3:45-5:15: Swimming
5:15-5:30: Stretching and Core Training
December 22 and 29 (early practice to allow families that have travel plans for the holiday weekends)
10:00-10:15 : Dynamic Stretching
10:15-11:45: Swimming
11:45-12:00: Stretching and Core Training
NO PRACTICE ON DECEMBER 25TH, OR JANUARY 1ST
Alternative Workouts: If you cannot make a workout you can do any of the workouts below and send coach Jordan an image of you practicing to count toward attendance.
THurston: Friday, February 2nd, 2024
Location: Willamalane Pool
On Thursday night, pack your team bag with all gear (cap, goggles, towel, deck clothes, and water bottle)
Meet Timeline:
2:45 PM - Swimmers arrive on pool deck
3:00 PM - Dynamic stretching and warm-up
4:00 PM - Meet starts
4:45 PM - Senior recognition during break after the 50 free
6:00 PM - Meet ends
**ALL SWIMMERS MUST STAY ON DECK UNTIL THE END OF THE MEET**
Swim-a-Thon 1/2/24-1/31/24
- Swimmers will collect pledges from friends, family members, neighbors, teachers, parents coworkers, etc...
- All Swimmers will swim as far as they can in 40 minutes during practice from 3:30-5:30 on Thursday, January 31st, 2024
- After swimming, swimmers collect pledges and donations based on the distance they swam.
- The team will earn a Hawaiian Time lunch if we reach our goal!
- Individual Prizes!

Finals Event Timeline
Location: Willamalane Pool
Swimmers should bring the following items to the pool for the meet:
Suit, goggles, and cap
Backup suit, goggles and cap
At least 3 towels
Pillow, sleeping bag/blanket
Music, games or activities to keep yourself entertained
Snacks and your own water bottle
Spectator tickets are sold at the door for $6 and $4.
Free entry for spectators that sign up to time for a 2-hour session to volunteer and time. Use the link above.
