Conference Theme
The conference theme will be Empowering educators to thrive in a changing world. This IBEC Conference aims to provide a collaborative space for thought leaders to explore strategies, tools, and mindsets that support not only academic excellence but also the well-being and growth of educators themselves. The theme focuses on equipping educators with the skills, resources, and support they need to navigate an increasingly complex educational landscape, while also fostering their personal and professional development.
Session Proposals
We are excited to invite you to submit a formal proposal to present your research and/or share your best practices. Topics that focus on IB teacher education, IB teacher professional development, and teaching and learning in IB are welcome. IBEC leaders and faculty are invited to present and may name co-presenters at their institutions (including graduate/PhD students) or colleagues at IBWS or other organizations with whom they are collaborating on projects or research. We request that sessions are presented in English to reach across our global audience.
Presenters are encouraged to submit the below form to propose presenting their work in one of the following formats:
Facilitated Presentation
1-3 facilitators to guide learning and understanding around a topic or paper that stimulates debate
Duration: 75 minutes (including presentation + interactive discussion in full group or small groups).
2.Round Table/Panel Session
3 or more panelists/speakers bringing in their own research/best practices around a shared topic. Consider moderator role for panel format
Duration: 75 minutes (including panel/roundtable discussion and Q&A with participants)
3.Poster Presentation
Poster and spoken presentation should include research questions, methodology, analysis, results, and key ideas.
Duration: 10-15 minute presentation, to be repeated for 5-6 rounds
Format: A1-sized poster (594mm x 841mm) - please plan to bring your poster and any supporting documents with you to the conference
