Spanish 1 (7th & 8th)

Everyday Materials for Success

Bring to class everyday:

  • Spanish folder (folder is to be kept in class for notes; students need to take pictures of notes with their iPad to practice at home)
  • Lined paper to fill folder
  • Charged iPad
  • Head phones (must be in cinch sack until prompted to get them out)
  • Sharpened pencil
  • Positive attitude

Homework

The homework in this class is to study for a minimum of 15 minutes daily (including weekends!).

Language is acquired through using the language. Therefore, it is highly encouraged to practice listening, speaking, writing and reading Spanish at home.

Occasionally there will be additional homework such as:

  • Practice sheets
  • Projects
  • Any work not completed in class

Usage of translators

Websites such as Google Translate shall not be used to complete class work. If it's at all used it will be to look up a word (vs sentences & paragraphs). Please keep in mind that students are being assessed on their own ability to integrate the Spanish being taught in class. Helping with Spanish at home is awesome! Please use the class notes to guide the studying.
