Measurement is a fundamental component in all science and engineering disciplines. After all, as Lord Kelvin said in the late 1800s, “To measure is to know.” In this talk, we will first cover both Measurement basics, such as uncertainty, accuracy, precision, etc., and Artificial Intelligence (AI) basics. Then, we will discuss the rapidly growing role that AI has recently started to play in measurement applications. Finally, we will see a few concrete examples of Applied AI for Applied Measurement in the domain of Multimedia Systems and Networks.
