Yu-Chen Su (Member, IEEE) was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1992. He received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2015 and 2021, respectively. From 2022 to 2023, he was a Visiting Scholar with Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, and then a postdoctoral researcher with Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan. Since 2024, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. In 2022, Dr. Su received the Second Prize of IEEE IAS Industrial Power Converters Committee (IPCC) Prize Paper Awards. His research interests include modular multilevel cascaded converters and their controls, modulations, and applications. Recently, he is also interested in loss evaluation techniques.
