What is the average cost of the program?
Answer: Approximately $ 20,000 (excluding living and insurance cost)
Is it necessary to finish in one year at FDU? If the master programme is not completed in the mentioned time then what are the consequences?
Answer: No, It is not compulsory to complete the remaining 21 credits to complete the masters programme at FDU. You can go at your own pace.
Is there any paid internship or work permit offered by FDU?
Answer: Students will be offered 2 years OPT (Optional Practical Training) for 2 years after the completion of their Masters at FDU.
What kind of Visa shall we get? What is the duration of the Visa?
Answer: The students will have to apply for a student (F1) Visa for the USA. The Duration of the Visa is 5 years.
What is the minimum IELTS band required for admission to the Master's Program at FDU?
Answer: Normally it is 6.5 bands for general students but for the Ganpat University Students, it has been reduced to 6 bands.
Can I study at either the USA or Canada campus during the course?
Answer: Yes, you can, depending on which country you get the visa for.
How long does it take to complete both master's degrees?
Answer: Ideally, both the master’s degrees can be completed within two years.
Is the GRE waived for this program?
Answer: Yes, It has been waived for the Ganpat University Students who have scored at least B+ grade at their final year B.Tech.
Are there any scholarships available from Fairleigh Dickinson University?
Answer: The students can apply separately for the scholarship directly to FDU on the basis of their merit.
How does this program save time and fees?
Answer: It is a unique prograqmme, specially designed for the students of Ganpat University where the students can earn two Master's Degrees (one at GUNI and Other at FDU) within the span of two years.
It also saves approximately $12000 as fees for the Master’s at FDU.
What is CPT (Curricular Practical Training)?
Answer: CPT (Curricular Practical Training) is a practical Internship/ project which the student has to take up as a part of his study.
Can international students work after graduation?
Answer: Yes, the international students can work after completing their study as per the norms of visa .
Is there free education counseling and visa counseling available?
Answer: Yes, for the students of Ganpat University who are enrolled under this programme, the career counseling, documentation and visa process guidance will be provided free of cost.
How can I apply for the Two Degree Master's Program?
Answer: You may take the admission in M.Tech CE/IT Programmes of Ganpat University and register for this collaborative model.
Are there any specific admission requirements for this collaborative program?
Answer: A student with a B.Tech(CE/IT/CSE) Degree (with min. B+ Grade) is eligible for admission in this programme.
Can I transfer credits from my previous degree to this program?
Answer : yes, as per the GUNI-FDU collaboration, the students will get 9 credits transfer from his previous study of M.Tech Sem-I&II at Ganpat University.
If I get admission into this collaborative programme, is it compulsory that I will get the visa for the USA or Canada?
Answer: Getting admitted to this programme increases the chance of getting the visa to the selected country but it does not guarantee the visa as the Visa issuance also depends on many other factors.
What are the other factors which can affect my Visa?
Answer: Apart from the admission to the University, factors like your background record as a student, your financial conditions and your language proficiency are also important factors in deciding the visa decision.
Can I apply to FDU outside this collaboration?
Answer: Yes, you may. But in that case you will not avail the benefits of the GUNI-FDU collaboration.
How many credits do I need to complete to get a Master’s Degree from FDU?
Answer: You must complete the remaining 21 Credits.
