Ganado Student Council is proud to have participated in this year's Jeans for Teens campaign! We collected 134 pairs of jeans for the homeless teens across the nation. Thank you to all who participated!
GHS StuCo is proud to have been a part of the District conference that took place on Tuesday (2/25/2020) at Victoria West High School. This event served as an opportunity not only to learn but to improve on leadership skills and communication.
This year's Father Daughter Dance was amazing! Thank you to all that participated and made this event so much fun! Balloons filled the dance floor accompanied by several fathers enjoying the time they were able to spend with their daughters. The night was filled with beautiful moments and fun dance moves!
Work begins for this year's Father Daughter Dance, hosted by Ganado Student Council. With the assistance of the Ganado Spanish Club, preparations are being made to set up for the dance!
Ganado ISD showed their school pride, and artistic skill. Each door was graded based on it's presentation, creativity, whether or not it was related to the theme, and school spirit. Thank you to all who participated!
Student Council stayed after school in a top secret endeavor to spread their support by leaving Post-its with messages of kindenss and encouragement all around the school.
Ganado Student Council participated in the recent "Level Up" leadership conference, accompanied by other student councils from our area.

Ganado Student Council organized a school blackout, in conjunction with a blackout themed pep rally orchestrated by the Ganado Cheer Squad. The day was dedicated to saving energy, any unnecessary lights were switched off to illustrate our dedication to our environment.
A small project by student council to show our appreciation for our local police and volunteer fire department. We gave the chief of police, Chief Merrit a token of our appreciation and support. The poster boasted a black silhouette of the New York skyline before the 9/11 attacks, covered in the gold and silver signatures of our students and staff.
Student council members removed nearly 100 pounds of trash from Devers creek and the surrounding banks. However great this clean-up was, there were still several legnths of shoreline that we were unable to thouroghly clean. To accomplish a truely clean creek, we need to spend much more time and recources, the community is urged to pick up after themselves to prevent further garbage pollution.
