All Livestock and Poultry exhibitors that sell in the Youth Auction are required to handwrite thank you notes for their buyers. Handwritten thank you notes which are then photo copied will not be accepted. These must be turned in by 12 noon, October 31, 2026 in an addressed and stamped envelope to the Jackson County Extension Service office. A picture is acceptable as long as a handwritten note is also included. Failure to comply with this rule could result in the exhibitor not being eligible to show at the next year’s fair and/or forfeiture of Auction proceedings.

PLEASE NOTE: OCTOBER 31ST is a Saturday and the Extension Office will be CLOSED! PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR THANK YOU NOTES BY 5PM OCTOBER 30TH.

EXTENSION OFFICE HOURS: Monday – Friday, 8-5PM with a lunch from 12-1PM. If you can only come during lunch, please call the office beforehand to make arrangements with staff.

An order will be placed on August 14th, but the earlier the better

Livestock will be physically validated the week after JCYF, which is October 12-16th.
