Mr. Levin grew up in the Capital District and went to Guilderland Central High School. He is a graduate of SUNY Potsdam's Geology Program and also received his MST from Potsdam. Mr. Levin has taught Earth Science in Galway, NY for the past 22 years and is currently is his 25th year of teaching. While in Galway he has also taught 7th grade science, Environmental Science, Forensics, Oceanography, Astronomy, Meteorology and 8th grade PLTW. He has coached varsity softball, been a class adviser and current is the science club and National Honor Society adviser. He is currently a NYS Master Teacher Emeritist in the Capital Region and a NASA SOFIA Airborne Astronomy Ambassador. .
April of 2018 Mr. Levin presenting at the European Geoscience Union Annual GIFT Conference (Geoscience Information For Teachers) held in Vienna, Austria.
June/July of 2019 MR. Levin attend GCamp through Texas A&M.
