The Gallatin County High School Winterguard is a dedicated and dynamic performance ensemble, where students combine athleticism, artistry, and teamwork. Winterguard offers students an opportunity to engage in the competitive world of indoor color guard, performing choreographed routines that blend dance, flag work, and visual storytelling.
Under the direction of GCHS alumni Jamie Eversole, Class of 2017, the Winterguard has grown in both skill and spirit. Jamie, who has been a part of the Winterguard community since 2012 and now serves as Director for the second year, leads a team of 12 talented students. Together, they develop routines that captivate audiences, enhance school spirit, and build lifelong friendships.
The Winterguard season runs from November through March, during which the team participates in regional competitions, school events, and community showcases. In addition to performing, students learn valuable life skills, including discipline, teamwork, and self-expression. The Winterguard program is supported by fundraisers and the enthusiastic backing of the Gallatin County community, which is crucial to providing costumes, equipment, and travel to competitions.
