It is really hard to teach skills that at times we may struggle with ourselves. This workshop will help you to explore the areas you are thriving and those that need more support. We will then discuss strategies to help you improve.

In this session, attendees will learn how to make simple cord & bead bracelets, as well as stitched bracelets. There will be ideas for school spirit bracelets that could be used for incentives, fundraisers, and more. You'll also make a beautiful seed bead stitched bracelet for yourself. This will be an interactive make-and-take that will have written instructions for everyone to be able to make at home.

As a certified personal trainer, I will lead a discussion on current fitness trends. We will also explore the best way to meet your personal fitness goals to live a healthier and happier lifestyle while balancing your work and personal life.
This session will be an interval-style 35-minute workout consisting of five cycles of 2-minute cardio followed by 1 minute of toning. This will be repeated twice in each cycle for 6-minute cycles. This workout is sure to challenge your body & your mind and prevent boredom!

More than any other demographic, our kids and teens have been drastically affected and developmentally altered by the events of the past few years. Complicating the situation further is the fact that the adult support people around them are also struggling. We will discuss some of the major changes that have been identified in recent research, the science behind these changes, and ways to apply the research in the classroom. We will spend concentrated time discussing ADHD, the latest research, common misconceptions, and differential diagnoses.

Nutritional wellness is the celebration and education of cooking and making healthy food choices, its impact on mental health, and exploring the physical and emotional relationship humans have with food. In this session, you will have the opportunity to make and take a sweet treat to enjoy when you need it most!

Rational Detachment is defined as “the ability to manage your own behavior and attitude and not take the behavior of others personally,” and it’s a good reminder that your outlook can make all the difference. Rational Detachment applies to situations as well as people. It’s about finding something positive in the midst of uncertainty, shifting your focus from what’s wrong to what you can do about it. Come learn how to de-escalate yourself and rationally detach from life’s stresses.
Do you feel like your French-speaking students are disengaged and that it's hard to form a relationship with them? In our district, we teach a large population of students who speak French as their first language and educators need to be able to communicate with their students in order to form relationships and perform basic classroom functions. In this session, participants will learn basic conversational skills in French in order to support students' social-emotional needs as well as learn some basic words and phrases to help with classroom management. Participants will be required to speak in French during this session to practice their skills, so don't be apprehensive, get comprehensive!

Today is going to be better on the bus, in the classroom, in the cafeteria, in the gym, on the playground. At least that is what we tell ourselves. Bring the challenging behaviors to this session to reflect on what is happening, see what skill(s) might be missing, and work toward finding specific ideas for making things better.
We'll discuss and practice restorative circles. We would cover what circles are and go over details such as using a talking piece, not having any barriers, and circle expectations. We would also cover the different uses for circles and how to lead them effectively. If time allows, we'll run a few different practice circles and even give people the opportunity to lead. If time allows and we have enough people, I would also love to break up into small circles and give people more opportunities to practice different types of circles.
Surveys have shown that one-third of LGBTQ+ youth have considered committing suicide–four times the number of non-LGBTQ students. In this session, an overview of the LGBTQ+ community and the updated identities will be covered alongside strategies to make these students feel more accepted in the classroom that can be used across all grade levels.

This session is an introduction to Suicide Prevention that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide. Attendees will learn the risk and warning signs of suicide and how together we can help prevent it. Learn what suicide is, who it affects, what we know about it, and what can be done to prevent it.

Join us on this virtual trip to the Democratic Republic of the Congo as we travel through the streets of Kinshasa, visit Mount Nyiragongo and witness the Zongo Falls as well as other sights with your virtual guides. This session will focus on some experiences you may have during a visit to the second-largest country in Africa.
Participants will complete a self-care checkup worksheet, then learn about and create a vision board for the next three months.

Amy will offer a fusion yoga session that consists of a gentle yoga practice for the first half of the session and a restorative deep stretch for the second portion of the session.
