Game Schedules
Making Waves
MS Football opened up their season at home vs Shawsville with 14-0 win! With everyone in sync, Clay came up with a couple of big runs that put points on the board. Donovan and the defense had a few tackles that got the crowd on their feet.
MS Volleyball opened their season this week with a statement, earning a 2-0 win vs Shawsville. Some key passes gave Emmy the opportunity to run floor, and she connected with Claire for some big swings and big points.
MS Golf opened their season with not one, but two matches this week. First, they traveled to Thorn Spring, where they came in first and top seed, Deacon came in first overall. Then, they hosted a big match right here at Blue Ridge.
MS XC will travel to Patrick Henry Glade Spring early this Saturday for their first race of the season!
MS Cheer dressed the part and brought the energy on Western Wednesday vs Shawsville. They are exciting to watch and brought in just as many fans as the football team!
Lifeguards
Teachers and Staff - a sheet has been shared with you that includes the names of students who are playing fall sports, their grade level, their coach, and their coach's contact info. If you feel contacting a coach about a student-athlete's behavior or performance in the classroom is necessary, please don't hesitate to do so. There has also been a gate duty sign-up sheet shared with you for the school year. If you work 4 gates, you earn a family pass or CYOW. If you work 8 gates, you get both!
Coaches - Please submit summaries and pictures of teams and/or individuals to georgeedmondson@galaxschools.us so that we can recognize those accomplishments. Please continue to not allow any student athletes to participate in games/meets/matches until they turn in their signed handbook page. In addition, please do not allow them to participate in any activity (practice or play) until you have a copy of their current VHSL physical.
Parents - Please return the signed athletic handbook form as soon as possible so we can get these student athletes on the court/field with their teams to wash out the competition. Please let us know if your student-athlete has participated and/or excelled in any athletics outside of school that we can recognize.
