Brody Long - MS Boys Basketball
Brody is an 7th grader on the MS Boys Basketball team. Brody made some big contributions in both games this week. At Fort, he had some great shots and racked up 15 points. Against Grayson, he came in clutch with free throws in the fourth quarter and limiting turnovers, handling the ball well.
Rylee Hawks - MS Girls Basketball
Rylee is an 8th grader on the MS Girls Basketball team. The team added two more wins to their season this week, and here is a quick nugget, Rylee had a 20 piece in game one at Fort. The second game of the week she was one point shy of that same total, scoring 19 points. One of the awesome things about this team is that this honor could go to any of them on any week. Rylee credits all of her teammates with their assists, getting the ball to her. Great teams always beat teams with great players.

Lifeguards
Teachers and Staff - a sheet has been shared with you that includes the names of students who are playing fall sports, their grade level, their coach, and their coach's contact info. If you feel contacting a coach about a student-athlete's behavior or performance in the classroom is necessary, please don't hesitate to do so. There has also been a gate duty sign-up sheet shared with you for the school year. If you work 4 gates, you earn a family pass or CYOW. If you work 8 gates, you get both!
Coaches - Please submit summaries and pictures of teams and/or individuals to georgeedmondson@galaxschools.us so that we can recognize those accomplishments. Please continue to not allow any student athletes to participate in games/meets/matches until they turn in their signed handbook page. In addition, please do not allow them to participate in any activity (practice or play) until you have a copy of their current VHSL physical.
Parents - please return the signed athletic handbook form as soon as possible so we can get these student athletes on the court/field with their teams to wash out the competition.
