About Us

Gail's Tax Service was started in 1992, after years of working with her mother Charlotte Snider since the age of 15. Charlotte was dubbed the original "Tax lady of Fern Creek".  Gail's son John Stephen followed in his mother's footsteps as his mother did with her mother. 

In 2001 he began working in her office and assisting her during a time she had an accident, dealing with a broken collar bone. It was during this time that he was introduced to the logistics of tax preparation after being around it his whole life. John, just like the rest of his family is great with numbers, and had a knack for preparing taxes. From then on he became a staple in her office there for every tax season. 

Eventually after 2020 tax season it was time for Gail to retire after preparing taxes for over 50 years. Gail's Tax Service underwent major changes with John Stephen taking over the family business moving to an office building out of Gail's house in which she had prepared taxes for years. Our long time and loyal customers stayed with us during that move, and easily adapted to the changes that move brought. 

Gail's Tax service has continued to grow with our combined years of knowledge totaling over 70 years. This generational family owned and operated business can be counted on as a staple in the community for years to come.
