Overview and Summary

Eastern Suffolk BOCES is proud to announce the receipt of an NYSED Learning Technology Grant for school years 2025-27. The grant aims to create and share innovative programs that use learning technologies to personalize education and expand access to high-quality, rigorous learning (including online, distance, or blended learning). It also supports professional development to help educators effectively use technology. All programs will focus on fostering culturally and linguistically responsive learning environments, aligning with the NYS Board of Regents’ mission to provide all students with equitable, high-quality education that prepares them for college, career, and citizenship. Our grant proposal is noted below:

Project-Based Learning &

Artificial Intelligence Academy

ESBOCES Learning Technology Grant Project-Based Learning and Artificial Intelligence Academy will develop a cohort of administrators, district participants to form an Advisory Committee that will focus on the following:

Our five overarching goals of the Learning Technology Grant 2025-2027
The development and implementation of the PBL and AI Academy
Provide alignment with the CRSE Framework &
Keep the four NYSED Graduation Pathways Measures in mind when designing both lesson and assessment outcomes

Goal #1: Increase personalized learning by aligning pedagogy with the NYSED Culturally Responsive Sustaining Education (CR-S) Framework.
Goal #2: Strengthen the capacity of teachers to provide online, blended, and distance learning by integrating educational technology standards and practices that lead to more effective and equitable outcomes.
Goal #3: Enhance teacher effectiveness in aligning pedagogy with the NYS Computer Science & Digital Fluency Learning Standards through professional development and ongoing support in Personalized and Project-based learning.
Goal #4: Provide evidence-based evaluation of programs throughout the two and a half years of the program and make adjustments where needed.
Goal #5: Publish all materials and artifacts on the ESBOCES District website.
