Q: Do I need a Google account to use the Hub?
A: To fully participate in the Community Forums (Google Groups) and Shared Drives, you will need a Google account. You can create one for free using any email address you already have.
Q: Is the information in my Convocation Community private?
A: Yes and No. The Community Forums and Shared Drives for each convocation are generally restricted to members of that specific group. They are not visible to the general public or members of other convocations. Please remember that this is a tool to collaborate, share, resources, and problem-solve together, but it is not the place to share personal or sensitive information.
Q: I'm getting too many emails from the Community Forum. How can I change that?
A: You can manage your email notification settings within Google Groups. You can choose to receive every email, a daily summary, or no email at all and just view discussions on the web.
Q: What kind of files should I upload to the Shared Drive? A: Anything that could be useful to another parish! This could include stewardship materials, formation curricula, administrative templates, event planning guides, or success stories. Please do not upload anything containing private or sensitive information!
Q: Who is in charge of adding new resources to the main Hub?
A: Initially, the Strategic Planning Committee, the Diocesan Staff and the Communications Committee will be populating the Hub. Over time, we will develop a process for others to suggest and contribute resources.
Q: What if I have an idea for a new Diocesan-level Community?
A: Fantastic! Please send your suggestions to admin@gaepiscopalhub.org. We are eager to create spaces that meet the needs of leaders across the Diocese.
