Gadsden City School System Dear Parents,

My name is Keana Howze/Taja Underwood and I am excited to be one of the Systemwide Social Workers. I am committed to advocating for students and families. As a social worker in the school system, my colleague and I will work along with school staff as a team to identify needs that may interfere with learning by working with students and families to get the services you need. Below I have outlined some of my responsibilities so you will know what a social worker can do in the school setting.

-Provide support to parents as needed -Link students and family to resources(food, internet, clothes etc.) -Monthly awareness with activities (Bullying, selfcare, etc.) -Parent Webinars(Parenting classes)
