Course Objectives:

• Participants will learn the roots, the guiding values and principles of Restorative Justice and Restorative Approaches; 

• Participants will participate in a Community-building Circle Process to actively learn about a core restorative practice;

• Participants will understand contemporary applications of Restorative Justice, particularly within the criminal legal system and school-based contexts;

• Participants will utilize acquired knowledge through practicing basic skills 

• Participants will reflect together on restorative justice applications for social workers.
