Issue #15 - June 12, 2026
We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our talented Grade 1 students in the Young Writer Competition. Through their creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm for storytelling, our young authors demonstrated that great ideas can come from even the youngest writers.
Their inspiring efforts, dedication, and remarkable accomplishments have filled our school community with pride. Participating in a writing competition requires courage, perseverance, and a willingness to share one’s voice, and our students rose to the challenge beautifully.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all of our Grade 1 participants for their hard work and success. Your passion for learning and love of writing have truly shone through in your entries, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
As you continue your learning journey, we encourage you to keep dreaming, creating, and expressing your ideas through words. This achievement is just the beginning of what promises to be many future successes.
Well done, young writers - we can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you next!
Students in KG2 have been working on measuring height and length with nonstandard units. They have enjoyed finding all sorts of great measuring tools that can help them !
They have measured pictures, body parts, and items in the classroom. Students know how to measure correctly by using all the same units and lining them up end to end to make sure their measurements are accurate.
We have also been preparing for our upcoming KG2 Promotion happening on June 29th and 30th! We are so excited to celebrate all the great learning that these GEMS have done this year!
Our Grade 2 students have been busy becoming animal experts! Over the past few weeks, they have worked hard on their animal research books. Students learned fascinating facts about their animals and experienced every step of the writing process as they researched, drafted, revised, edited, and published their very own books.
It has been wonderful to see how much their confidence and independence as writers have grown throughout this project. They were so proud to hold their finished books and celebrate all their hard work!
As we head into summer, we hope our Grade 2 writers continue to use the skills they have worked so hard to build this year. Whether they are writing stories, keeping a journal, making lists, or simply sharing their ideas on paper, we hope they remember that every great author starts with a single word. Happy writing, Grade 2!
In Grade 5E, students plunged into some incredibly exciting and meaningful learning across all subjects! A major highlight was our preparation for the upcoming Exhibition. Students have been hard at work researching their chosen topics, and they did a fantastic job connecting their ideas directly to global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Seeing them link their personal passions to real-world issues shows just how much they are growing as global citizens.
Meanwhile, in math, we tackled the essential world of the order of operations. The students explored exactly why following the correct mathematical steps matters when solving complex equations—proving that a little structure leads to big solutions! We are immensely proud of the hard work, curiosity, and effort 5E has brought to the classroom this week.
This year, our students were given the opportunity to demonstrate their talents in Quran memorization, recitation, and Tajweed through a positive and engaging competition that showcased both their skills and their deep connection to the Holy Quran. The event highlighted the dedication, perseverance, and commitment of our students as they continued to strengthen their understanding and appreciation of Quranic teachings.
In addition, our school community came together to celebrate the beginning of the New Hijri Year through a variety of meaningful activities and learning experiences. These events explored the lessons and values of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) migration (Hijrah), encouraging students to reflect on themes of faith, resilience, perseverance, and compassion, and to apply these important values in their daily lives.
As we mark this blessed occasion, we extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to our students, parents, and our teaching and administrative staff. May the new Hijri year bring peace, happiness, success, and abundant achievements to all members of our community.
