Greetings KG Families,
First and foremost, I hope that you are safe and well. I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you. Thank you for your continued support as we begin our new school year in a time of uncertainty. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the ‘new normal’. Finally, thank you for choosing us to be part of your child’s first experience of education. We are committed to ensuring our KG vision for learning is embedded in all that we do, even while wearing masks and socially distancing.
We have worked hard to adapt our classroom environments to maintain high safety standards while fulfilling our vision for play-based learning.
Our KG school hours will resume to 8am-2pm from September 13th. A and B days will continue as normal. The modified day during staggered start was beneficial to ensuring our KG students had sufficient time to adapt to their new environment and routine.
You and your children have been so helpful with drop off and pick up procedures. This process enables us to ensure social distancing protocols of all staff and students. Our QR code system (pictured below) has been a positive process to ensuring a smooth transition.
SeeSaw access codes for both students and parents have all been set up. If you need any support with accessing SeeSaw, please email your child’s teacher to let them know. The teachers have been working hard to plan an enriching and engaging distance learning platform for our learners at home. We hope that you enjoyed the learning packs to start the year off. Live sessions will begin daily from September 13th through zoom. The homeroom teacher will send this link and information to you.
It has been an unprecedented time and we are committed to supporting you and your family through ‘the new normal’. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything.

Kindergarten has a no backpack policy (this includes carried and rolling backpacks). Students will need their lunch box and a water bottle for school. If you would still like a small book bag for your child, we advise bags with measurements no greater than 9.5 inches (width) and 10.5 inches height, to fit inside our cubby space. Students may still need to bring bags for swim kits and there will be common areas to store these, yet for most days the smaller bag and their lunch bag will be the only required bags for KG1 and KG2 students.
Please note: Large backpacks and rolling/wheeled backpacks take up space we want to use for your child’s learning.
