Dear KG Families,
Thank you for all of your feedback on our parent survey last week. Your input has been so valuable and has enabled us to adapt and modify to meet the needs of students and families. It was great to see so many positive comments of gratitude. Thank you.
We are excited for our first KG live assembly on Sunday, October 11th with our KG mascot, Poppy the Parrot. The purpose of this live session is to come together as a community and celebrate the wonderful things happening here at GAA. This is optional to attend.
Transition reports will be sent via SeeSaw on October 22nd. This report reflects how students have settled into their routines with a key focus on skills.
Parent conferences will be held on November 4th and 5th. This gives families the opportunity to meet with teachers, discuss progress and next steps for student learning. More information will follow over the coming weeks on how to make an appointment.
Thank you for your continued support.
As we continue to keep physically distant, we strive to keep socially close.
Warmest regards,
Niamh Callanan
KG Vice Principal
Dear GAA Families,
In case you travel outside UAE during half-term long weekend, please remember to complete The Health and Travel Declaration form (online form). The paper form (English and Arabic) may be emailed to: communication_gaa@gemsedu.com.
KG1 B: Group A, Group B and distant learners, have all settled into our daily routines so quickly this year. The children have made good friends, tried to follow the rules and adapted so well to our long and busy morning. These past 4 weeks have been all about following directions, making good choices, learning new routines, listening to the teacher, making new friends and keeping really interactive while having fun during the new school day. During our story time we have learned about Bono the Monkey, Caleb the Camel, The sharing shell and the Principled Panda. All of these stories and more, have encouraged characteristics -Learner Profiles- that GAA holds close to their hearts. Our students are already learning to become mindful and caring world citizens. I think our KG1 B class is doing a great job so far!
KG2 students had so much fun celebrating our Wacky Dress Down Day! We did some bridge-building challenges that helped us learn to work together, and also got to make some “wacky” self-portraits! We are having a blast in KG2!
