October 28, 2021 Issue (next issue on November 11, 2021)
Dear GAA Families,
I hope you had a safe and restful midterm break. It was wonderful to welcome students back this week.
Students have been diving into their Unit of inquiry “Who We Are” and building on their communication, social and self-management skills. They have settled back into their routines and have been excited to catch up with their friends.
As we head into November, we look forward to celebrating the UAE Flag Day on Wednesday, 3rd. Teachers have been busy preparing for our conferences on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th. This is such a beneficial way for students learning to be shared with you and to see what their learning goals are for the months ahead. We welcome you to sign up using the link that was shared and we look forward to seeing you online.
Have a great weekend ahead.
Best,
Niamh Callanan
KG Vice Principal
Hello KG1B families,
We are settling back into our routines after midterm break. Our little learners are thoroughly enjoying participating in a wide variety of play-based learning engagements and we are seeing wonderful learning in our classroom. We have been tuning in to our Unit of Inquiry, Who We Are, which has encouraged students to make connections between themselves and their friends. We are finding out a lot about what we look like and how we are the same and different. We are excited to continue our learning journey!
In KG we are getting ready for our first swimming lessons next week. We cannot wait to get back into the pool and learn how to swim!
We are also learning some ball handling skills in Basketball. We are practicing how to bounce, pass and score in Basketball. We are having so much fun.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: no jewelry should be worn on the days of swimming lessons. We will not be responsible for any jewelry lost during our swimming lessons.
Such a great start to the READMarathon! Check out some amazing photos below.
