Dear GAA Community,
It is an exciting time of the school year. Our class of 2023 will graduate next week, followed by KG2, 5th, and 8th grade promotion ceremonies in the weeks ahead. Our GAA Sports Awards Banquet and Advanced Band Recital recognized the hard work and achievement of our students, and we still have numerous field trips and other activities to look forward to.
However, along with the festivities, we must also remember our end-of-year academic responsibilities. Students are preparing for Exams, End of Course Projects, and the PYP exhibit, and it is important to get the needed rest to dedicate ourselves to finishing the year on a strong note academically, with commitment and dedication.
As a community we are at our best when we support and uplift one another. I ask all the GAA community to encourage and lend a helping hand to those who need it. Let’s show respect for one another, and appreciation for our teachers that have guided us this year.
Together we can create an environment that fosters growth and continue to build a GAA sense of community.

قامت المعلمتان غادة محمد وتميمة فرحان من أكاديمية جيمس الأمريكية بإطلاق مسابقة كتابة قصة قصيرة مصورة بعنوان (الكاتب الماهر) لطلاب الصّف الثامن.
أبدع طلابنا في كتاباتهم، وتشجيعًا ودعمًا منّا لإنجازاتهم وحتى يتخطى إنجازهم حيز صفوفهم ومدرستهم، قمنا بالاتفاق مع منصّة عصافير للقراءة كي يطّلعوا على القصص ويختاروا الأفضل منها لينشر على منصتهم.
وافقت منصة عصافير مشكورة على هذه المبادرة وقد تم اختيار قصّة الطالب معاذ غانم بعنوان (البطل الخارق) وتكريمه من قبلهم وذلك عن طريق نشر القصة على منصتهم بالإضافة إلى مكافأة مالية سيستلمها ولى أمره.
نشكر تعاون منصّة عصافير مع أكاديمية جيمس الأمريكية ومساهمتهم معنا في تحفيز طلابنا على الإبداع والإنجاز.
Ms. Ghada Mohammed and Tamima Farhan have launched a short story writing contest entitled (The Amazing Author) for grade eight students.
Our students excelled in their writing, and we always encourage their creativity and help them to take their achievement beyond their classrooms and schools, to their outside world. Therefore, we contacted the Asafeer Reading Platform and we ask them if they can read the stories of our students and choose the best ones to publish on their platform.
Asafeer platform has accepted the initiative, and the story of the student Moaz Ghanem titles "The Superhero" was chosen and honored by them, by publishing the story on their platform, in addition to a financial reward.
We express gratitude to Asafeer platform for its cooperation with GEMS American Academy and its contribution to motivating our students to be ingenious and creative.
