Issue # 17 - May 23, 2025
It is with immense pride and joy that we celebrate GAA’s Graduating Class of 2025, who will officially graduate this coming Thursday, May 29 at the National Theater. These 175 outstanding students have reached a milestone that reflects years of dedication, growth, and achievement—both in and beyond the classroom.
As part of this celebration, we invite you to join us on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. for a heartwarming tradition: the Senior Walk. Our Seniors will take their final walk through the hallowed halls of GEMS American Academy, cheered on by faculty, staff, and younger students who look up to them as role models. This symbolic journey honors not only their accomplishments but also the legacy they leave behind.
Later this week, our Seniors will don their caps and gowns, receive their well-earned high school diplomas, and step confidently into the next chapter of their lives. We couldn’t be prouder of the passion, perseverance, and positivity they have brought to our community.
Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2025. Their future is bright, and their GAA family will always be cheering them on.
Warm regards,
Garth Wyncoll
Secondary Principal
Dear Secondary Students and Families,
ADEK’s reporting timeline dictates that GEMS American Academy’s final student submissions and summative assessments (projects, labwork, essays, research papers) must be scheduled for the weeks of June 9-20, 2025. The last week of school, June 23-27, will focus on preparing students for next year’s course work by beginning our first unit’s instruction for SY25-26.
Thank you for ensuring your GAA student is prepared for these assessments and opportunities to demonstrate their learning.
If your student is not in the building, our ability to provide a makeup date is very limited. Insufficient Evidence will have to be reported as the final entry into the grade report if your student misses a scheduled summative assessment.
If your GAA student has an emergency situation which interrupts their ability to sit a final summative, GAA will require documentation to support their absence.
Many thanks for supporting GAA’s Academic Calendar through the end of the SY24-25, June 27, 2025.
