Issue # 18 - June 20, 2025
Dear GAA Secondary Families,
This week we welcomed our Grade 5 students into our Middle School and welcomed our Grade 8 students into High School. Congratulations to all students and families for achieving these important milestones at GAA.
As we close out another memorable school year, I want to take a moment to thank each of you—our students, parents, and staff—for your commitment, partnership, and perseverance throughout the year. Together, we’ve navigated challenges, celebrated achievements, and witnessed incredible growth across our community.
Students, you have worked hard, shown resilience, and embraced learning with purpose. We are especially proud of your accomplishments—academic, athletic, through the arts as well as your social and personal growth—and of the ways in which you have represented our school values each day.
To our parents and families, thank you for your continued trust and collaboration. Your support is essential to the learning experience, and we are grateful to walk this journey with you.
As we head into the summer, I encourage all of our students to find time for both rest and adventure. Let this be a time for recharging, for exploring interests, and for making memories with loved ones. Whether it’s through travel, reading, creativity, or service, we hope your summer is full of enriching experiences and joyful moments.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for a new year of learning in August. Until then, we wish you a safe, restful, and rejuvenating summer break.
Warm regards,
Garth Wyncoll
Secondary Principal
As part of enhancing Arabic language and oral communication skills, Grade 8 Arab students presented traditional and folk tales during their Arabic class in the presence of parents and students from various grade levels. Each student gave a summary of a traditional story, analyzed the characters both internally and externally, and identified the moral of the story. The activity encouraged exploration of local and traditional stories in an atmosphere of enjoyment and learning. It also provided students with the opportunity to apply their Arabic language and speaking skills confidently in front of a diverse audience.
