Dear GAA Parents,

GAA is always aiming to create a supportive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged and supported to explore their potential and achieve their personal best in all aspects of school life regardless of the circumstances that we are facing. This year our students are being challenged and engaged through authentic learning opportunities that inspire them to develop creativity, confidence, and resilience to become independent and ethical life-long learners.

At GAA this year, we focused on equipping our students with self-awareness and critical thinking skills that they can carry into the real world upon graduation.

Ironically, and unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic has created just such an experience. We went through a challenging time, but we faced the challenges of offering our kids the best learning environment. Most importantly, our students have enjoyed another fabulous year at GAA. Our Arabic, Islamic, and UAE Social Studies teams worked together to provide an excellent learning culture for our students.

On behalf of the Arabic staff at GAA, we would like to congratulate you on the fantastic year we spent with our students and parents. We worked towards improving the Arabic language for our students by working on the skills and building bridges between the curriculum in the classroom and their social life, which motivated them to learn the Arabic language and use it in their day-to-day lives. Similarly, we helped our students make an everyday connection between Islamic studies and UAE social studies through many different situations.

We are very proud and thankful to our students and parents for the tremendous effort to help us provide the most successful learning environment.

In addition to the above, we enjoy spreading the culture of kindness and a caring community when we worked for hand in hand with our students and their families to help our kids achieve their goals.

I would like to wish you all the very best for the summer vacation to welcome you all back refreshed for what will be an exciting, new academic year at GAA for more successes and creativity!

أَولياءُ الأمُور الكِرام،

تحيّةٌ طيّبةٌ وبعد،،،

تتَصافح الأيدي وتتعانق القُلوب في ميادينِ العلّم والاجتهاد، آمالنا عريضة وطُموحنا كبيرٌ في دعمِ طلابنا دائمًا لتقديم أفضل ما لديهم، وتحقيق أهدافهم. كما يَسرُّ قسم اللُّغة العربيّة في أَكاديميّةِ جيمس الأمريكيّة أن يتقدم بكل الشكر والتقدير لأولياء الأمور الكرام على كل الدعم والتّقدير والمرونة الّتي أظهروها عند مواجهة التّحديات الّتي مررنا بها جميعنا.

بالرغم من كل التّحديات وظروف جائحة كورونا استطعنا تقديم أفضل الوسائل والمصادر التّعليميّة في كافة الظروف والأوقات، فاستطاع طلابنا تحقيق الأهداف المنشودة في المواد الوزارية الثّلاث. كما أظهر طلابنا كثيرًا من المهارات الّتي اكتسبوها في العديد من المواقف والظروف. فقد احتفلوا بالكثير من المناسبات إن كان عن بعد أو داخل الصفوف ومنها: يوم الاتحاد- يوم العلم- المولد النبوي- السنة الهجرية-رمضان -عيد الفطر-ويوم الطفل الإماراتي. واستطاعوا مع أساتذتهم إيجاد الحلول المناسب للاستمتاع بجميع الأنشطة والمناسبات آخذين بعين الاعتبار تحديات الظروف الحالية.

كما اكتسب طلابنا الكثير من المهارات الحياتية الّتي تصقل شخصيتهم وتساعدهم في خوض تجارب الحياة ورحلتهم التّعليمية التّعلميّة ومنها: المرونة- التفكر- التّأقلم- التّأمل-تحمل المسؤولية- التّعبير عن الذّات- وتنظيم الوقت.

كما يسعدنا العمل دائمًا على تأمين أفضل الوسائل لتطبيق المناهج التّعليميّة من أجل النّهوض باللّغة العربيّة لصقل المهارات الأساسيّة وبناء جسور تواصل بين المناهج التّعليميّة والواقع الّذي نعيشه، بالإضافة إلى خَلق دافع وجداني لدى الطّلاب لحثهم على تعلُّم هذه اللّغة واستخدامها وتفعيلها في مواقفهم الحياتيّة.

وحرصًا منا على تحقيق أهدافنا المنشودة نظمنا العديد من المسابقات والتّحديات الّتي تحفز طلابنا وتشجعهم على بذل أقصى ما لديهم من مجهود لتحقيق أهدافهم وتطوير مهاراتهم ومنها: تحدى جيمس للقراءة- تحدي جيمس لختم القرآن الكريم- تحدي مدرسة جيمس الأمريكية لتلاوة القرآن الكريم-تحدي المواهب....... والعديد من الأنشطة والمسابقات الّتي تحفزهم وتدعم مسيرتهم التعليميّة التّعلمية.

نرجو من اللّه عز ّوجلّ أن ينعم علينا وإياكم بالصحة والعافية وانتهاء الأزمة لتعود حياتنا لطبيعتها، كما نرجو من اللّه للجميع عطلة صيفية ممتعة.
