Mina Port (Zayed Port) is home to several traditional markets (some open air, some indoors). If you are looking for fresh fish, meat, vegetable and fruits, this is the place to visit. Don't forget to negotiate the price!

Carrefour feels more like a Walmart. They also have groceries and department store sections but are typically together. Some good ones are Airport Road, Yas Mall and Marina Mall.

Lulu feels like a Target. They have a food section and a department store section. Sometimes these different sections are on different stores and you need to purchase items from each store separately. Some good Lulus: WTC, Capital Mall, Mushrif Mall and Abu Dhabi Mall.

Spinneys has a lot of imported products, but most notably, the larger stores will have a “Section for Non-Muslims”. Spinney’s do have a variety of sizes, so they are not all equal. Two good ones are the one by the Corniche/6th street and Al Forsan.
Waitrose is a British run supermarket and also has a “Section for non-Muslims”. They also have a lot of imported products. Some good Waitrose grocery stores are at Al Reem and Corniche.
