Research through different media sources was crucial to the success of my project. I needed to touch upon a variety of different media sources to get all the necessary knowledge and information:
Books, articles, blogs - these resources are where I got the majority of my information and research from; these resources (i.e. works by Daniel Siegel) allowed me to research the information I was ready to present
Interview - the interview I conducted with Mr. Bunten allowed me to gain some first-hand insight on some solutions to problems teenagers face from the perspective of a professional
Magazines and articles - these resources help me discover the technical aspects of my magazine and how to present my information in a clear and effective way (i.e. what do magazine spreads look like? what are the types of typography in the typography hierarchy?
This project required a great deal of knowledge and familiarity about the topic. I needed to become a well-researched individual in the field behind the neuroscience of adolescence in order to be able to communicate the information. I also presented the information I researched in a variety of different ways: I conducted interviews, created short meditation activities, and provided helpful articles that conveyed information in various spread designs.
This video shows a short snippet of the process regarding the creation of graphics. All graphics are created by myself; the drawings are done in procreate, which is a digital art application made for tablets and mobile devices. I used an apple pencil and an iPad to create this drawing.
