Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) is a framework that our district uses to provide targeted support to all students to help them succeed both in and out of the classroom. The framework focuses on the meeting the needs of the “whole child”, which means supporting academic growth in addition to other areas such as behavior, social-emotional skills, and attendance.
MTSS is organized in our school through systems and teams. Our MTSS Coach, Stefanie Page, works with grade level teams to help understand student performance data and provide supports for our students who qualify. Should you have questions about interventions or academic support please do not hesitate to reach out.
MTSS supports are organized in a tiered model, which looks like the following: Tier I- High quality curriculum and instruction that all students receive Tier II- Targeted, small group support for some students Tier III- Intensive, individual interventions for a few students
