Step 1

Create a Schoology Sandbox Course

In this section, you will log into Schoology via the Schoology app on the AliefHUB!

To login to Schoology

  1. Open a new tab or window

  2. Go to hub.aliefisd.net

  3. Click on Create Course

  4. Enter your network username and password

  5. Search for the Schoology app and click on it

To login to Schoology: Open a new tab or window Go to hub.aliefisd.net Click on Create Course Enter your network username and password Search for the Schoology app and click on it

Then, create a sandbox course in Schoology. This course will be a place that you can develop lessons, practice using Schoology tools, and more.

To create a sandbox course:

  1. Click on Courses

  2. Click on My Courses

  3. Click on Create Course

  4. Enter "Schoology Sandbox - [Your Name]" in the Course Name field

  5. Choose any subject area and level

  6. Choose a current grading period

  7. Click Create

To create a sandbox course: Click on Courses Click on My Courses Click on Create Course Enter "Schoology Sandbox - [Your Name]" in the Course Name field Choose any subject area and level Choose a current grading period Click Create

Please be sure to keep this Sandbox course open in a separate tab or window during your time in this course. You will use this sandbox to set up the Alief course folders template, and you can continue to use it to develop lessons and course materials.

Creating a Course

Remember that courses you create will not automatically populate with students or sync with ESP. You can easily copy content you create in a sandbox course into the automatically provisioned courses created from ESP.

Next, let's set these folders up in your course sandbox, so that you can easily add them to each of your courses later.
