Other Grant Programs

The UPK grant provides financial support for our prekindergarten program.

Wyandanch UFSD is part of the Long Island Pathways through Technology Early College High (PTECH) school program. The Uniondale School District is the lead agency for the grant that provides students in Uniondale, Wyandanch, and Freeport the opportunity to graduate high school and college simultaneously with an AAS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Farmingdale State College at no cost.

Wyandanch is the only school district on Long Island to be awarded this grant. Funds are used to provide Wyandanch students and staff the opportunity to engage in culturally relevant and responsive activities that increase student voice and choice, as well as to provide students with the opportunity to collaborate with schools from other districts. Babylon CARES, a collaborative of schools within the Town of Babylon is one such example.

Western Suffolk BOCES is the lead agency on this grant. The consortium is comprised of Wyandanch, Amityville, and Copiague school districts and is focused on improving student outcomes through family and community engagement.
