The LIGHT2H₂O team is delighted to introduce Ana Luísa Machado, who started working at FEUP under the supervision of Dr. Maria José Sampaio (LIGHT2H₂O P.I.), Dr. Cláudia Gomes Silva, and Dr. Idelfonso Nogueira (NTNU), developing a project titled: Analysis and Optimisation of a Photo-Induced Hydrogen Production Process.
Ana Luísa Machado has a BSc in Chemical Engineering from FEUP. Her research interests focus on the intersection of sustainable energy systems, materials development, and machine learning, with particular attention to hydrogen production technologies. Her work aims to integrate chemical engineering principles with AI approaches to design and optimise efficient, scalable, and sustainable energy processes.
Welcome, Ana Luísa!
Within the framework of the LIGHT2H₂O project — focused on the development of innovative solutions for sustainable hydrogen production from wastewater — we will participate in the V 1H-TOXRUN & Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society International Joint Meeting on One Health, reinforcing knowledge exchange in the fields of environment, toxicology, and sustainability within the one health concept.
LIGHT2H₂O will offer a full registration to a student presenting their work at the V 1H-TOXRUN & Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society International Joint Meeting on One Health 2026.
Find out more information in the conference's website.
Light2H₂O has a LinkedIn page, in which scientific articles, presentations and participations in conferences will be shared. You can now follow the project's updates here!
