The best duckies in Town, that is, Intelligent Robots at FEUP
A place to share info about our Robots and town. -- feel free to contact us if you want to collaborate!
The original project is https://www.duckietown.org/
The Duckies started, at FEUP, with "Intelligent Robotics" class of M.EIC in year 2021/22.
We had some "hardware" trouble setting up and had to scavenge a 5th robot in order to have 4 fully working Duckie bots.
Apparently, the version with Jetson Nano was somewhat new, at that time...
We also had some trouble with the power bank dying (really totally dead) and had to purchase some new ones.
Be sure to understand things before plugging (these robots are based on Nvidia Jetson Nano).
Don't let the power banks run depleted (this kills lithium based batteries).
Have an HDMI monitor ready for first boot(s) and initial debugging.
When placing the robot on a table, don't put the wheels in contact with anything so that if the robot starts moving, it won't fall, break itself nor anything else
