I am currently a USDA-NIFA funded Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Kentucky working with Dr. Julian Dupuis and Dr. Beryl Jones. My primary research interest is in wild bee ecology and how land management decisions and conservation strategies impact wild bee communities. My current research focuses on how plant communities in agroecosystems shape bee-plant interaction networks and how that data can be used to make informed management decisions.
I first received a B.S. in Agricultural Sciences from Morehead State University. I then began my research in wild bee communities at Eastern Kentucky University while investigating the role of surface mining in the landscape in shaping wild bee communities for my M.S. Biology thesis. After completing my Master's, I began my PhD in Entomology at the University of Kentucky under the mentorship of Dr. Clare Rittschof. My PhD research focused on the impacts of weed management strategies in the early spring on wild bee communities in agroecosystems.
